Membership Categories
Categories of Membership
According to the categories submitted by the WFITN Secretariat on 19 May 2026, the Society shall be composed of:
- Full members
- Honorary members
- Emeritus members
- New members
- Junior members (new)
- Associate members (new)
- Medical students (new)
Junior, Associate and Medical Student members have access to the journal and other member benefits; voting rights within WFITN are excluded for these three categories.

Junior, Associate and Medical Student Membership
Proposed fees as submitted by the WFITN Secretariat on 19 May 2026, subject to confirmation by the General Assembly.

Junior Membership
Physicians in training in an interventional neuroradiology, interventional neurology or endovascular neurosurgery fellowship programme.
- Lower fee for students, higher for those with salaries
- Held for no more than three years
- Application for Full membership at the end of the third year
- Journal access and member benefits
- No voting rights within WFITN
New category
Associate Membership
Individuals with a substantial interest in neurointervention: nurses, physician assistants, radiology technologists, paramedical professionals, medical scientists and industrial partners.
- Open to non-physician medical professionals
- Open to industrial partners
- Journal access and member benefits
- No voting rights within WFITN

Medical Student Membership
Medical students who are interested in neurointervention.
- Letter of certification of student status from the medical school or college required
- Journal access and member benefits
- No voting rights within WFITN

Full, Honorary, Emeritus and New membership as well as the new Junior, Associate and Medical Student categories are open to qualified professionals and organisations in the neurointervention field.

Membership Fee Payment
If you pay online already the membership fee you will profit from the benefits of a membership already with online access to the INR Journal, reduced WFITN congress & course fees .
